Charity Tournament in support of the DDRC
The Vipond Golf Classic is one of the longest-running charity golf tournaments held across Canada that supports local charities dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities. For more than 40 years, Vipond and Earl Grey Golf Club have supported the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary (DDRC).
Since the inception of this tournament in 1980, Vipond and the Earl Grey Golf Club have raised over $2.7 million for DDRC clients and the programs that improve their quality of life. Funds raised at the Vipond help the DDRC offer specialized services to clients with diverse communication needs, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Augmentative Alternative Communication support. Over the years, generous tournament participants, sponsors, and donors have helped fund programs and projects such as Learning and Leadership, the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Centre, the retooling of Advanced Industries, Bow Valley Catering, Bow Place, and many more.

To reduce costs and maximize the funds raised, we have introduced online registration option. The 2024 Vipond aims to raise $50,000 for the DDRC.
